I try to install ht://Dig, get error message 'Try installing libstdc++'

Question:

I want to install ht://Dig on my hosted web site. So I downloaded the latest version (3.1.6) and ran the configure script.
I get the following error message:
checking for fstream.h... no
configure: error: To compile ht://Dig, you will need a C++ library. Try installing libstdc++.

It appears that file fstream.h is missing? What can I do?

Answer:

You probably use an older version of the gcc compiler. You need to set two environment variables - flags for the C++ compiler:

export CPPFLAGS=-Wno-deprecated
export CXXFLAGS=-Wno-deprecated

Then run configure:
./configure
